Colouring within the lines has never been my strength. I like to be inspired by the world around me. That often leads to new ideas, new challenges. I can really enjoy special material combinations, but also seductive shapes and vibrant colours. However, the starting points of a design are always determined by the client. The client's wishes are leading. It is up to me to translate this into a unique creation.
The ideas often arise during an initial conversation, just with a cup of coffee. This is followed by the research phase. I start to read in and empathise. For me, a design is only successful when the customer feels at home in the space. My creations radiate a certain warmth. Whether it's a sleekly designed hotel lobby or a chic skybox in a football stadium.
I never allow myself to be steered by trends. They do nothing for me. The question is always the starting point. I do like a twist here and there. My creations should put a smile on your face.
