Campo de Ourique designed with a straight line, today mixes beautiful buildings from the end of the 19th century, Art Nouveau and less elegant architecture from the 20th century. It is known for being a pleasant neighborhood to live in, as it still has traditional commerce and its old market.

Campolide, these hills hide a quiet and safe neighborhood, mainly houses from the 1970s. It is heavily built, but an interesting change of scenery is the neighborhood of Calçada dos Mestres, where houses with backyards were built. Elderly people, families and young people populate Campolide. Most of the commerce is concentrated in the Amoreiras shopping centre, which was the biggest in Lisbon until just a few years ago.

Both Rua Castilho and Avenida da Liberdade have become the center of luxury commerce. Here, the word luxury includes the architectural beauty of buildings. Much of it is from the early 20th century, some in bright colors, others in the art nouveau style. Some of them were even winners of the Valmor award, such as nº 206-208, which is now a Prada store. The Castilho & Liberdade area is one of the most sought after areas of Lisbon.
At night there is no lack of entertainment and culture on the Avenida, as in addition to the kiosks, which vibrate with youthful energy on summer nights, there are a number of good restaurants, hotels, cinemas and theaters.

Amoreiras Plaza and Páteo Bagatela help guide human traffic. The Amoreiras area is mainly residential, and the people who come here usually have a specific objective. There is not much street shopping (it is concentrated in Amoreiras), but there are some luxury hotels and a beautiful garden covered by trees and by the Águas Livres Aqueduct, which at this point reach their final destination, Mãe D'água, a place worth visiting.
