Description

Vacation every day - Wonderful IJsselhoeve 't Hekkert is a paradise in the Gorsselse Enk

The Gorsselse Enk stretches between the village and the Ravenswaarden, like a patchwork quilt in every imaginable color of green. And in the middle of it, on Domineesteeg, stands Huis 't Hekkert: a spectacularly beautiful IJsselhoeve, such as we rarely see these days. These beautiful, originally 19th-century farmhouses are characteristic of the IJssel Valley and are characterized by their distinguished appearance with their high roofs and thatched roofs, the various buildings and the often picturesque landscaped gardens.

A needle in a haystack
Special farmhouses such as IJsselhoeve 't Hekkert are few and far between in this area, and they come onto the market only sparsely. Now, however, we can proudly offer you this museum-like farmhouse. Are you looking for a lovely home in green surroundings, with the possibility to work from home and/or receive guests? Then 't Hekkert might be your new home. Because, besides the fact that it is unprecedentedly beautiful, there is also no shortage of space: a living area of 290 m² on a large plot of 5,580 m².

The oldest part of the farmhouse dates back to 1468 and was built into its present form in 1856. But it has been lovingly maintained and modified over the years. The current owners have also always embraced progress and have made the farmhouse considerably more sustainable. Because the property - despite its exceptional character - is not listed as a monument, this was easier; the entire house was well insulated, fully double-glazed and received 30 solar panels on the roof. A mono heat pump was installed in 2024, rewarding the effort well, with a beautiful energy label A.

The IJsselhoeven fall under the heading of "cultural heritage. These special farms were built by the farmers who - thanks to the fertile soil - were well off the mark. And it showed; the farms were bulky and often surrounded by landscaped gardens in the English style so popular at the time. Today, 't Hekkert is surrounded by an exceptionally beautiful, varied "cottage garden.

Gorssel
The cozy center of Gorssel is a five-minute bike ride away. Here you will find the local supermarket, several boutiques, specialty stores such as the butcher, the wine shop with excellent cheese department, the greengrocer and the baker, as well as cozy restaurants with terraces and the beautiful Museum MORE, where we never get bored.

Nature is perhaps the biggest attraction; the enchanting Ravenswaarden are just around the corner, as well as the beautiful Gorsselse heath and forests where you can get a breath of fresh air on foot, on horseback or by bike.

Expressways are a 10-minute drive away and should you miss the bustling city, both Deventer and Zutphen - two beautiful, historic Hanseatic cities - are nearby.

First floor
The L-shaped farmhouse has a large driveway at the front: two ornamental wrought iron gates welcome you. There are three parking spaces at the traffic circle, but a fourth car will fit in just as easily.

The entrance is at the front of the house, flanked by the windows with shutters with a heart in them. The hall is sunny and bright, with a robust tile floor reminiscent of the traditional farm estrikes of yesteryear.

To the left is the first bedroom with adjacent first floor bathroom, complete with bathtub, walk-in shower, double sink and separate WC.
The living room, immediately to the right, is a picture: warm, elegant and with a cheerful color palette. There's a library and a cozy wood-burning stove with armchairs around it, for setting up several logs together on long evenings.

The upstairs room has become a charming guest room, with space for twin beds or a double bed.

Under the stairs to the upstairs room access to the generous storage cellar.

The former part is now a large, sunny living room, with several seating areas, French doors to the garden, a lovely wood stove and the stairs to the floor.
From the living room access to the office and the modern kitchen (2009): sleek, handleless, with high-gloss white fronts and a dark natural stone worktop. Of course, the kitchen is equipped with all desirable appliances and has a beautiful six burner gas stove, a convection oven, microwave, dishwasher and large refrigerator. Following is the spacious utility room with large built-in cupboards, the connections for washer and dryer and the door to the outside.

Upstairs
The loft provides a spacious experience in the living room, as well as pleasant contact between the living room downstairs and the four bedrooms upstairs.

The front house houses three bedrooms, with the family suite providing access to the technical room. On the landing is the bathroom with sink, toilet and a walk-in shower.

Above the part is the large guest room, a beautiful suite with a dressing room and a generous bedroom with its own bathroom, with sink, walk-in shower and WC.

View of the barn
Next to the house is the authentic schöppe, a beautiful through riding barn with robust oak trusses and the traces still nicely in view. This is a fine barn for all the garden stuff, the bicycles and your hobby items, but the barn is also equipped with a WC and a pantry: so a fine party can also be held there.

Outdoor area
The cottage garden is so beautiful... The yard around 't Hekkert - a thick 5,580 m2 - is bordered by large deciduous trees and inside it is a green paradise, with a beautiful natural pond, large lawns, an overflowing vegetable garden, bright borders and flower beds with box hedges and colorful plants. Everywhere are pleasant seats and it is almost impossible to determine which view is the most beautiful ...

In short
A house where every day feels like a vacation: House 't Hekkert is a living dream in the green. Fancy a taste of the atmosphere? We are happy to take you for a tour.
