Description

Exceptional property for sale set in a beautiful park and dense woodland surrounded by azaleas and rhododendrons, in the hills of Lake Maggiore. The project bears the signature of the famous architect Luigi Vietti. The villa was commissioned by an important Milanese family, who in 1962 wanted to create a buen retiro, in an oasis of peace, a short distance from Milan. The exclusive property is located in Taino, a few kilometres from Angera, in a hilly area, within a 24-hectare natural park, entirely fenced in. Its position is panoramic overlooking the Alpine arc, in particular with views of Monte Rosa and Lake Maggiore. Inside, the centuries-old park has a swimming pool with salt water, and is divided between the part of the large lawns maintained as parkland and the wooded part, which is also perfectly maintained. The interior of the property, including the woodland, is accessible by car with paved and dirt roads. The construction by architect Vietti, represents a 650-square-metre villa built of stone and precious woods from various parts of the world, all created with great refinement. It blends perfectly into its natural surroundings. The interior is characterised by large windows overlooking the surrounding park. Architect Vietti's aim was to give the rooms a feeling of warmth and harmony, so the old beams give the house that important

imprint. Inside the living room, the fireplace is dominated by large river stones imported from the United States and old wooden beams, which also lends a note to the special design. The large living room has a floor with large wooden boards, as does the ceiling covering. The ground floor of the villa consists of a large entrance hall, living room, dining room, kitchen and guest bathroom. Continuing to the first floor, which houses the sleeping area, we find six bedrooms with as many bathrooms, two of which are en suite. On the floor below is a flat with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a double garage. These rooms are independent, created for guests. Instead, for the staff there is a room with bathroom, kitchen, living room. Within the park there are five cottages of different sizes, housing eight residences, totalling 1,100 square metres. They have a total of eighteen bedrooms and sixteen bathrooms. This large property allows for income through the rental of the independent properties within it. For horse lovers, the animals can find shelter in the stables. There are also agricultural outbuildings to house farm equipment and a greenhouse. The property is located 45 minutes from Milan and 20 minutes from the international airport of Milan Malpensa. It is permitted to build a second swimming pool.
